Ok for those of you who don't know, I started school... again. It has been almost exactly 12 years since I've been. I decided I really don't want to be working in the restraunt business for ever and it's looking like I'm going to be needing to work for, well maybe forever. So I figured I need to get my degree. I'm going to finish what I started 14 years ago which is Elementary education. I'm starting out slow so I don't overwhelm myself but I'm hoping to have my degree in 3 years. Keep your fingers crossed for me! I was so so nervous to start. I had my first class tonight and I think it's going to be pretty good. My teacher seems super laid back and easy to work with. She is also a 2nd grade teacher and has been teaching for 20 years. WoW. I'm actually pretty excited and although I know every semester won't be as easy as this one (at least seems to be) I think it's a pefect beginning!!

This is me and Jason with my $156.00 book. Yes you read it right. $156.00. I forgot how expensive school is.... So crazy!!
I got home early from class so we walked down to the pool for an evening swim. Jason hurt his back at work so he wanted to sit in the hot tub..

Jason, trying to stretch out his back... Poor guy.

Now he can relax..

Brinley was there too she was just too busy to pose for the camera. I'll catch her next time.

$156 for a book? Are they kidding? Do they think rich people go to school? Come on! I am really proud of you for going back, that is a huge step and so great. I really hope that Jason can support you in this. He vented to me the other night when I dropped the kids off, pretty much the same stuff you had already said. You guys have so much stress on your shoulders but stay strong and close to each other and it will all work out. When you feel like the money is gone and you can do anything just remember that sex is free. Have at it all you want :) and there is not fee.
I'm so impressed! That's great you're going back to school. I have been thinking of doing that when Patch starts 1st grade in a few years. You'll have to share all your great advice. Good luck and congrats all at the same time!
I am so proud of you!! And I have to add that I love Lara's comment . . .hehehe! Very true, and that's all the husband wants anyway, right? :) I am looking forward to going back to school in a few years. I go back and forth between elementary ed and nursing. There are advantages and disadvantages to both. So I'm very proud, and even a bit jealous! (But not of the expensive books and tuition . . .ouch!)
I think one of the most expensive books Andrew has had to buy so far was $300 something. It is crazy how expensive they are. I am so proud of you for going back to school.
Geez, I dropped off the face of the internet and you've gone back to school! Good for you! You'll do a great job!
